Omega General Help / Re: Victor Reinz gaskets.
« on: 09 December 2019, 20:30:20 »
That sort of mileage is not far short of my three cars,so maybe they might be worth a shot....all three cambelts are due early 2020 and I was just looking for a reliable alternative to VX. :y

I still have my three and to be honest, there are still a good few out there but just not on here.I continually try to wheel potentially new members towards here, but when I check ...nope! So that suggests that they are not going to be long term owners...or they are competent mechanics ::) who knows?

Got a feeling Nick did a bunch of spare headlights for me a couple of years back, I think we had a mix of aliminium and silicone adjusters as the ali ones had gone in to short supply. The silicone ones are still available on ebay iirc.

Been online with ebay for a good half hour, had the runaround at a snowflake retard call centre >:(   Ebay are now saying that there's not much more they can do,as it's not part of their policy not to take on the scammers....they just monitor situations! WTF!!Anyway I'd had enough of them and told them politely to take their policies and their limp wristed attitude and have a 'kin nice day. SO it just goes to show what ebay is really all about, and where their loyalties lie.....certainly not with us their customers, and who says crime doesn't pay??? >:(

I've checked a couple of times since...no sign. The car was top of the parts listing, deffo gone! The warnings are on the two Omega Owners FB groups pages as well plus a few other club pages.....think he'll struggle to scam around those groups. >:(

ALALON497 is back on ebay, selling imaginary parts from from a 3.2 Elite estate.....as in the original warning, don't have anything to do with this dickhead. The car came back on today...same old crap! Spoken to ebay and they are not happy, and pulled it off immediately....what a thick knob!

Dr G...how very dare you! :o I'm a lovely cuddly Ken,just like the Koala bear on the toilet roll advert, but this guy is real piece of work. And I do know where to find him, but I wouldn't do what I probably would have done when I was young. So I've got another 'victim ' onboard who's lost £85 and there are two more in the pipe line that should come back to me shortly. I would have liked to be able to contact  the three others on ebay who got ripped off, although I would guess that they were compensated by ebay. Anyway there could well be one or two on here that may have been affected, but as a general rule this site would be the first place to buy surplus parts without risk,so probably not. But he's still got the car and there's a mint interior and a low mileage 3.2 lump that's going begging if you want to risk your hard earned with the tosser! or perhaps not. :-\

Just a quick heads up....has anyone here had any recent dealings with a guy called Derek Lovell aka Alan Long aka  ALALON497 on either ebay or any Omega facebook groups. He was breaking an Elite 3.2 estate recently. If you have, please can you PM me with the details ...if he scammed you. Also take this as a warning that he's not to be trusted with parts that are to be posted after you have paid for them because you won't get them. It's now a police matter,so if you have anything to offer go for it...he needs to be stopped!
