I’m pretty sure I have shared it in Win 10, will check tomorrow. Which driver do I need? I’m also fairly certain that I downloaded the HP printer driver on the Mac.  :y

General Discussion Area / Laptop query 2
« on: 10 March 2021, 16:56:13 »
I would like to print from my M1 Apple MacBook running Big Sur, using my HP 1512 printer connected to my Windows 10 PC with both computers on the same network. Google suggests that I can do this, but I have been unable to do so due to my technical incompetence.
I can see the printer in the laptop preferences, but it says "Not responding" when I try to print.
Can anyone explain in simple terms what I need to do to fix this?
I am unwilling to plug the printer into the laptop due to the physical constraints of where it is used.

Yes its a shame, since lockdown the OOF delivery service has ceased operating. :(

Are we supposed to have a letter about this?
I haven't received a letter yet, Chris, but when I saw Skruntie's post I went online and requested a code. It arrived by text immediately and I was able to log in and complete it.

Cheers Steve, I’ll do that if I don’t get a letter this week.  :y

Arrived today.

Slight adjustment at nozzle end, but I would not chance it with rubber seals. Although I’m relying on my memory from when it last worked. I know I never dared use it in dodgy areas.

173
K3.91, no pressure adjustment in lance.  :-\

Sorry I missed your earlier one. Yes still available.

I would not use my Karcher for general car washing, just wheels and lower body. It is very powerful, when working, and would possibly strip rubber seals. Perhaps newer models have adjustable pressure.  :-\

My 10 year old Karcher which has had very little use, is now temperamental, so can't recommend them.

I never like the idea of an under slung spare that's exposed to the elements. It's bad enough having to maul with a dirty horrible wheel from the car without having to crawl under it to retrieve a wet muddy spare.

I saw far too many where the mechanism had seized. Even more common was wheels that were so rusty the tyre wouldn't hold air. Few car owners check the spare when it's in the boot; they never do it when it's under the car. Fitting the spare in a cradle under the car uses the same space as putting it in the boot where it should be, it's just the other side of the floor.

Good point, and such checking not facilitated by the mounting of boot stored spares with the valve underneath! >:(

Just googled FR to see what happened to her, and was amazed to discover that not only was she previously a Stewardess with BOAC and BCal, both of whom I flew for, but now owns a hotel in Grenada a short distance from the villa we regularly visit. We visited the hotel for lunch last time we were there! It’s a small world.   :o
