Does anyone else know anything about this car? It sounds interesting, but the OP appears to have gone MIA.
Welcome to OOF
QuoteTough call Guy. Your beast really is such a good example, don’t know how you can let it go!No chance Ian. As well as a Mig i need a classic car. No point in having two Migs. I love the Consul, she's being sprayed soon (4 new doors) & then ready for next years shows. I'm as equally involved in the classic car/steam rally scene as i am Migs so no chance of selling her.
Can’t you sell the old Ford and have the beasties bigger brother?
She's a joy to drive, seats 6 legally with front bench seat. 3 speed column change with handbrake beneath the dash, no seatbelts ever fitted (pre 1965 & she's a Jan 1961 so 49 years old in the new year) Not selling!
Still up for a spring Yorkmeet, caravan is due some use!!!!
QuoteA few days away from OOF is always a good thing . Chilled, calm, all toys back in the pramQuoteQuoteGave it a hiding to Birmingham...Yesterday, gave it a more gentle, though possibly still illegal, cruise back from Birmingham.
Far nicer to drive than that crappy, horrible, nasty Focus I've had all week
Evening!
A good time was had I trust? :-?
I did reverse into a brand new VW Passat about 3 years ago in mine, I got out.VW had smashed headlight, cracked/split bumper and a bent bonnet, damage? £2.5k's worth!
Damage to mine? Hairline crack in bumper
I looked for the confessional page on this forum, but couldn`t find one
Anyway, bless me farther for I have recently committed the following cock-ups
During an oil change last weekend I dropped my new vaux oil filter into the old oil
I drove off from filling up this morning without replacing my petrol cap.
I completely forgot about the MOT test until I tried to renew the car tax at the end of Aug. (9 weeks out of date).
I reversed out of my driveway and ran over our posties bicycle ( I`ve been told to expect the bill soon).
And here`s the biggy..... I piled all my tesco shopping into the boot (which for some reason I left up) & the car refused to un-lock and let me in. A somewhat upset and unknown toddler screamed blue murder from the back seat as I tugged and pulled at the drivers door.
I took the cowards way out and quietly walked off, without my shopping to look for my car
Beat that if you can??
