Post by: Andy B on 20 April 2018, 11:50:48
SWMBO's Citroen snapped a rear spring this morning on the way to work. Fortunately she'd only just set off & was only going slow. Daughter's car Mon & Tues  ..... now SWMBO's 🤔

Indeed. The surface where it eventually failed has had sizeable ridges in it for years. Still, a cheap repair as things go .... £50 for the springs & a mate is fitting them tomorrow for £30. Airbags at the back of my R Class were £700 fitted ☹

I'll post a photo of it later ..... it's on its bump stops on the r3ar off side.... even she couldn't have missed it.

The design of the spring and weight of the car are more likely to be the cause

That's what I thought when I ordered springs from that shit outfit Euroshiteparts. 3 weeks and *STILL* waiting for one, meanwhile the car is off the road.

Wow, yeah can see that snapped  ;D

Luckily I've got spare pair in the garage for when one of the 3.2's goes, surpassingly they are lasting well.
