Electric memory seats.
« on: 03 August 2015, 07:54:19 »

I've just got some electric memory seats from an 'Elite' can I just swap them into my ex-police estate or do I need another loom?  The seats that are fitted have partial electric, up & down with no air-bags, the 'Elite' version have all options with air-bags.  I not bothered about the air-bag option, coz I don't plan on crashing. LOL.

We've just fitted electric memory seats to our 96 pfl estate, the donor car was fl mv6 estate. Managed to get everything working, heated, full electric adjustability and memory functions. Only thing we couldn't get to work was the mirror position to match the preset memory buttons.

I assume you changed over the seatbelt tensioners plus informed your insurance company regarding the SRS system

Isn't that the other way Rob? 96 car wouldn't have airbags in the seats, the facelift seats will have air bags in them, but won't be wired up in the PFL car

The Preface lift doesn't have side airbags( so thats not an issue), and the pre tensioners are mechanical on the PFL seats compared to electrical on the FL seats we have fitted, we may look into transplanting the pre tensioners over but atm its not a critical component in the project.
