Considering that a brand new one is readily available for about £40, is it really worth faffing about with used?

Fill the header tank with bleach, stones and sand, then shake for a few hour before leaving to soak over night, then multiple rinses with fresh water before leaving to dry.

Then spend the £40 youve saved on some new clothes to replace your bleach stained ones  :y

OR...
cold water & a handfull of uncooked rice works well with a good shake if its only the crud thats the problem.  :y
