Raided by the Police!
« on: 19 October 2014, 20:53:25 »

No not me!  ::)  One of my tenants had a visit from the Boys in Blue recently and they tried to open the front door with their 'Big Red Key'!!  ::)  >:(  Anyway it seems that their actions were somewhat justified as they found £350,000 worth of Cocaine in the house!!  :o :o :o  >:( >:( >:(  and it looks like that he will be a tenant of Her Majesty for some time to come!  ::)  :y

So I'm left with an empty house which has been left in a right state and a broken front door!  >:(  Does anyone know if there's any compo from the Police for this sort of thing or is it down to me and possibly my insurance company?  :-\  ::)

Just fix it up as best you can and then rent it out to another drug dealer. They'll be OK for the rent and the front door will come off much easier next time. :y

The only time I've known any compo given out by police is when they..........got the wrong door  ::) ::) ::)

If a warrant is executed based upon reliable intelligence and a) illegal substances / property is found & b) offenders locked up I've never heard of a l/lord getting compensation for the mess left. Thats in my experience anyway, other forces may be different.

As STEMO says but make sure you negotiate at least a 15% cut of all profits  :y
That should pay for the repairs AND a nice little holiday somewhere  ;D
Just make sure the dealer pays you in cash and don't tell the tax man  :D :D :D

Yep I was there about 10 days before the raid and saw nothing untoward.  ::)  I'm also on good terms with the neighbours who would have let me know if they thought anything suspicious going on.  ;)

He'd been there about a year, good job, nice girlfriend, good references etc etc  ::)

Perhaps you could do a more intensive search than the Police did, and find your compensation that way?

Yes, I think that's why the neighbours didn't notice anything strange about him, as he wasn't dealing from the house. They also found 3 or 4 food blenders....  :-\  ::)

On a serious note a friend of mine rented out his late parents house using a letting agency to manage the property. They collected the rent, took the deposit, vetted the tenants and supposedly carried out inspections and were insured. The house caught fire, totally destroying the bedrooms and roof, from dodgy electrics in the cannabis farm in the upstairs.
He was not insured, because of a clause relating to illegal activities at the property his dispute with the managing agents over lack of care, breach of contract came to nought.
He is slowly rebuilding the house and has had to take a mortgage out to complete the work.

Then I can safely say whats been going through that house  is in the millions worth, the blender is used to" bash " it, i.e. dilute it with Benzocaine or other adulterants to increase it's value. My neighbour was found with £8,000,000 worth in her loft last year. Cheeky cow had all that and I didn't even get a sniff of it  ;) ;D

I seriously would be checking under the floorboards etc...very closely  ;)

£350K is a shed load in anyone's books, but that value was probably gleaned from selling it to the end user at the lowest possible denomination (it's in town pubs here for £10 per 0.1 of a gram).

An update.

I've been poking around and found about 5 metres of large ducting pipe, a big transformer, a growlight bulb and a bottle of plant food, all in the attic!  ::)

I've also found some 'unauthorised' heavy duty wiring under the floorboards that he obviously planned to stuff in with the supply cables to the meter as they are loose!  :o  Luckily they wern't connected but were stuffed down behind the consumer unit, it was even earthed! So very professional!  ;)

I think he was just getting set up to start growing weed when he got busted.  :-\  Lucky for me, as the place would have been a helluva lot worse!  >:(

More floorboards coming up over the weekend!  ::)

Although those lamps happen to accelerate the growth of cannabis under certain conditions, they also have a multitude of legal uses.
What people choose to use them for isn't my problem, but if you want to play the blame game then throw it back at the old bill for failing in their job by confiscating it to start with!

A roll of foil
200 Rizlas

All legally availabe to be purchased and possessed, and completely innocuous individually. Although you would need a bloody good reason to have them all in the boot of the car whilst picking your Nan up from the airport... I believe "Going equipped" is the technical term ::)

Point is, these 'people' will produce shit like that as long as people buy it... if you want to ease your moral compass Sir Tigger, simply sell the items separately and don't sell them to the same people :y

Alternatively you could turn your spare room into a vegetable factory and sell the proceeds... home grown fruit and veg always sells well :y

An update.

I've been poking around and found about 5 metres of large ducting pipe, a big transformer, a growlight bulb and a bottle of plant food, all in the attic!  ::)
That ballast and lamp are worth a few quid Tig, sell 'em on mate.
So buy selling on drug paraphernalia, you are allowing some other scum to grow cannabis, >:(
Here's a little shopping list for you...

1x Kitchen knife set
1x 18" rolling pin
1x tenderising hammer
1x radio removal tool set
1x club hammer
1x 30" pry bar
1x can of spray paint to match your car
1x laser pointer keyring
10 litres of diesel
1x bag of fertiliser
10 kgs of sugar
1x Roll of duct tape
A box of matches
A roll of foil
200 Rizlas

I really don't want to ask what all that combines to make but guess it makes a big noise, I don't get the radio removal tool's role  though  ???

Those alone will get your collar felt if stopped and searched and found about your person without a reasonable explanation: Summat along the lines of being arrested on suspicion of going equiped to commit an offence, ie with the intention of nicking car radios...

That is if you constantly hang around in dubious places and with dubious people... :y
