No! 12. Between cam belt change and DIS pack replacement. Titled V6 spark plugs change 2.6/3.2 (2.5/3.0 similar) HTH.
But he doesn't want to replace plugs  ::) and a 2.6 or 3.2 doesnt have any HT leads to replace  :P

This is more or less what you need, just change one at a time you'll be fine  ...... it's just a bit of a reach to the back of the engine.
Thanks Andy,i think if i tried this there would be a asda bag full of leftover bits ;D.As i say i would not know where to start, and i have no confidence in the mechanics up here  :-\

Changing HT leads is a straight forward job, the hard bit is getting to the DIS pack at the back of the engine.

To be fair ronnyd,i look at it like this.If you know fick all about brain surgery don't say you do and cut someones head open.I am not a mechanic, and this may be an easy job for someone with experience. But i don't have a clue where to start with this,i work in electronics so i am not thick. So i will leave it to someone who knows what they are doing, but if you feel the need to take the piss no problem.Dean.

You start at the DIS pack at back of the engine  ;)

Any garage would be able to swap them over for you  :y

.

Just think off it as a big electronic circuit, No1 lead goes to No1 plug.  It's just the wires are a bit bigger, also invest in a Haynes manual, and think of it as your circuit diagram.

Hi all,no probs ronnyd.Unfortunately as there are no members up here to help me,i went to a garage one street away.Asked how much to change the leads, he did not look to enthusiastic.£200 not including vat or parts he would let me know the price of the parts. :o :o.He said there is a lot to come off to get to the coil pack.So it looks like it will be a trip to serek.

That garage obviously quoted you a silly price to get you to go away, as they didn't want/couldn't do the job.
I know Serek is quite a distance from you, but you will get a better-than-fair price for a competent and efficient job.  :y :y :y 8)
