Cars for Sale & wanted / Re: WTD: Omega Estate TD Facelift ELITE
« on: 06 August 2013, 16:52:49 »
i have a v reg elite 3lt estate face lift auto lpg....was my daily driver until april this year...runs absolutely spot on gas ..never let me down on gas,i'd go as far as saying the best gas car i've had in fact i'd still be using it now if it wasn't for my absolute bad luck with cars in general... lets start at the start , always a good place i've found........one of the little plastic pipes which go in the vaporiser cracked must have happened on the motorway..so i drove the 200 mile home with no coolant....didn't notice ...knackered the head gasket ..the next morning as i was going to a prearranged appointment to fit a power flow exhaust a couple of miles from home i noticed  the temp rising...so i stopped added water by the time i'd arrived at the garage i'd lost most of it.....so left the exhaust with them...the dark lord himself then picked up my car..did the head gasket/cam belt /cam covers and serviced it.daz also tried to repair the vaporiser.....I then went to a lpg place who fitted a new vaporiser..booked myself back in at the power flow place ...who told me the local pikeys who collect their scrap had stolen my exhaust... :'( :'( they built up a new system with power flow boxes and pipes..which to be fair did sound nice.....
i then used the car from september to march no probs...tax was due end of march and mot due in march as well ...booked it in for new windscreen as mine had a crack..ordered wheel bearings as i knew they needed doing....didn't take it across to dlk for wheel bearings as i wasn't sure if he had a press (biggest mistake ever) i let a local garage loose who oppsed one of the hubs..so i ordered a arm from steve at omega parts that arrived ..then the mechanic had a heart attack and he's a one man band...meaning i wasn't going to get it done before the tax run out...
this is where i lost patience and went and bought a e320 cdi  :-[ :-[
the omega has been parked on my brothers drive since....it still needs a windscreen as i cancelled the last one when when i realised it wasn't getting done on time..it still needs the arm and hub fitting and the last wheel bearing (one side done)..it need a power steering pump...but i think i have one at dlk on my old 2.5 mini face lift there is a hole in the passenger leather seat where the seat warmers have burnt but apart from that she is good to go..mileage is around 120k
if your interested you can have her for £1200 as is or £1500 with 12 months mot
