Just how much mess pressure washing the patios made :o

In my limited defence, they haven't had much more than an annual scrub since we had them built 22 years ago :-X

That said, they look like new and I can honestly say that I am glad I went with a pressure washer with a water cooled motor... Three hours almost non stop without so much as a splutter 8)

Run the tank dry/drain and refill with Vpower. And replace the injectors...

Is the latest code still for cylinder 3 and is that by chance the first cylinder on the fuel rail :-\

Fuel would sit on top of any water and the pump should pick up from the bottom of the tank. Is the tank pressurised (positively or negatively) to the extent that there's an audible noise when you undo the cap?

Best do that then ;)a

Noice 8)

They will probably blame you for that, they will say that you were putting the screen under stress by opening it and closing it by lifting it and lowering it with the same corner each time. :-\

Is it just the one side?

Yep....but I always open and close from the centre. There is a small flap to get my fingers under.
I can see why that had a certain appeal >:D

If you're happy with how it rides and don't really use the car then  it's upto you, but equally, if you do change them then you will notice the difference. You have to remove the front springs if you change the front shocks anyway so it's only really the extra cost of the parts... Likewise the rears will practically fall out once the shocks are removed.

If it were mine I would do them if only for piece of mind, but you might get another 20-30k out of the springs/shocks as they are.

MarkDTM did explain how/why it fails without mixing oil. Something to do with where the oil and coolant galleries are in the engine. It's one of the few engines where it will run indefinitely as long as you keep it topped up with water.

If you see the state of the filter in the video, it's a wonder the car ran so well :-X

MoT is just a partial retest so will be a formality 8)

If you can see the scratches, then they're there. Slap it back together and call it done. Once it's back running down a compression check... as long as all 6 are within 10% of each other and it starts and runs ok then that's job jobbed.

Worst case it's another old Omega with a tired engine ;)

Had two lower arms fitted ready for the MoT retest tomorrow. Front end now feels much more secure

And changed the oil and filter as the car was due one... Last serviced in 2022, but barely 7k ago. Seeing the state of the filter and the colour of the oil I probably should have done it when I bought it :-[

Had an enjoyable, fast run across the Dales at dusk.  Reminded me how capable the X351 really is  :y

Is that when it works !!
We were joking earlier on our way back from Yorkshire how it usually breaks down on the way back home from holidays ;D
Did it?  >:D
