Radio reception
« on: 20 May 2015, 11:41:24 »

Hi...
When I bought the last car here in Poole, the radio was tuned into M 828 (Smooth Radio) When out of this area it loses signal and needs tuning to 102.2 FM.
However, we are here in the 2.5 Estate, and swmbo wanted Smooth on. Can't get it on FM so tuned M 828. Massive interference noises, like in the old days, when you had to add supressors to the HT leads. It is like buzzing, that increases in pitch with acceleration.
Any advice appreciated, please :y

If with engine running.... It could be the radio supressor at the rear of bank 2 being unplugged. Taxi Al is a expert on them  ;D ;D

What is 'Bank 2'. Is it one side of the V6 block. I have put my hand around the back of the drivers side, and I can feel something that feels like a female spade end housing, with the male missing. If this is the bit.....where would the wire be coming from that plugs into it. :-\

If its the passenger side, I'll never get in there, its cramped with clobber :(
