The sun visor ones I've used I struggle a bit to hear clearly.  But it was probably the cheapest Chinese junk.  The other killer for me is that I'd forget to charge it - though that might be due to the fact I've *always* had proper kits and never had to worry about it.


Some devices, although they will pair to multiple devices, they can only connect to one device simultaneously, so if you take both phones in the car, it may only connect to one, and the other will be disconnected - if this is important to you, check before buying.


Other simple option is those gay over-the-ear devices, although they are starting to be banned to use when driving in some countries, and I suspect it won't be long before Blighty follows suit.

It's the convenience of having a built-in system in my other car this is driving this. Having to charge or plug in something just isn't going to happen. There will be a quick journey where it won't be worth doing and that will be the time someone rings.

Perhaps I'll just dig out the old Nokia CK-7W (that used to be in my Omega all those years ago) and plumb that in.

Nope that's a fail....I have the box with some spare leads in it but the kit must be still in the Omega.....

Pretty certain the CK-7W can only connect to 1 device.  But sounds like thats the sort of thing you are after, though there will be some wiring

Istr it can take two devices, but I would need to check. Plugs straight into the Omega wiring, but don't know about a Mondeo.

The one I have connects to more than one device, which means for me my phone and iPad.
