And on the eigth day, god created thunder. He saw that it was good. Man saw that it was good and called it V8. MMMMMMMMM.... V8 :y :y :y

You're never late in a V8 😎

You're always on time with 6 in line.

Sounds better too.
.

A measly 6 will never sound better than a V8 mate.
😀😁😂

You sound like a tang.

Yep, only thing better than a straight 6 is two of them.

The characteristic V8 burble is due to them being out of balance. An I6 doesn't suffer from that, and is much more pleasant to the ear.

And why are European V8s louder and rougher than American ones?

The Battlebus was due electricity, so drove it up to Staffordshire, to an old disused airfield that the owner lets us use, so we could arse around with some RC planes and quadcopters.

I needed the massive space available to test a couple of bits on 2 of the quadcopters.  One was on an experimental setup (and it worked as well as could be expected given its a lethargic thing, and it was pretty gusty).  The other one was a firmware update to combat a GPS issue, where automatic Return to Home would pick a random place to call home. F/W has fixed that...  ...something I could have done with a week or so ago, when I was flying it on a secluded beach, and it was looking to be determined to go swimming in the North Sea ;D

Battlebus always goes better after some use, gearbox issues aside, though did try to give me heart failure when the Check Oil Level popped up at speed ;D

Oil topped up, car reabandonned.

I can see you now... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72OhmRGrLLE

 ;D
Stuff that, none of mine are that valuable ;D

What gearbox issue  :-\
Sloppier than one of Sir Tigs' Marina conquests.  And cannot select 1st when cold (and even when warm, tend to have to put in 2nd before selecting 1st)

F23 box with Concentric Slave Cylinder ,hydraulic
shares the brake fluid reservoir i'd think
probably not been bled or seen fresh fluid since new
not got the haynes here  :( (in the car) so will check when i get chance.
plus see where the drain and fill/level  plugs are on the gearbox
may require fluid to work  ;D
you can get an insert for the shifter and bushes gearbox end I think (for the sloppy select)

Have to wait a while Albs. It should be delivered by early next week at the latest.
Monza not sold yet but its the push I need to get it sold so I can use it.
If I tax and insure it, I will forget about the Monza.
47K miles, CV8, 56 plate :y
Annoyingly, the 5.7 VXR I wanted came back on the market on the sunday morning after the sale fell through >:(

Yesterday reclaimed the V70 from step daughter[they're still sorting her Meriva after its breakdown last November/December :o]and went to Bruntingthorpe for world record attempt. The old barge ran as sweet as anything.Unconfirmed numbers I've heard are that 1438 cars attended, whilst another source says 1500+.A great if very busy day out regardless of numbers :y

Gear linkage is cable operated.  I think the issue is the ball/socket at  bottom of gear level, seems to be an awful lot of play in it.
