Maybe because of the adoption of plastic bottles, which cannot be sterilised and re-used? Ask Lizzie.....

I'm not sure about in the new, more stringent MOT regulations, but even under the old ones it would be covered by overall braking efficiency. No specific requirement to check the fluid, but if that tester found the brake test results to be marginal, then all credit to him for checking the fluid - he is on the OP's side! :y

Really, if your brake fluid is the original or hasn't been changed for some time, accept that your tester was doing you a favour and have it changed - the cost is trivial compared to a potential accident or loss of life.....

They can check for water content, which doesn't show on a visual inspection. The water can boil off in the brake cylinders and result in inefficient or no brakes!

TB, under your administration you will make it illegal to buy anything from ATP, Ebay and the like - and nobody, but nobody, to own/use a computer of lower specification than an IBM Mainframe!

I.ll have you know that my primary laptop is 2007 vintage, surely one of the oldest pcs used on here?  My “new” desktop is 2010-2011 vintage.

Mine are older (not saying how old) and no sooner have I upgraded from Windows XP to a shiny new Windows 7 then despicable Microsoft announced that they are about to cease supporting Windows 7 - and no free upgrades! :(

Dave, he wouldn't dare cull a decent, honest builder - there aren't enough of you to go round!

Mrs Thatcher was of her time, and the country need her, biggest mistake was the poll tax. Since then all been spineless and foooking useless, this country needs a strong single-minded person to stand up for the country and it's moral code, Thatcher I think did this, And it's what's needed again, A leadership that will stand up against Europe tell them this is the deal, and to sort out all the wet snowflakes we have trying to ruin this country even more...  Thinks maybe this TB bloke might be worth voting for  :y

BG, I have yet to hear a sensible, reasoned argument against the Poll Tax. As I understand it, one earner, one tax/rates bill.
Those that mainly objected were those who lived in (council?) houses with multiple wage earners yet only paid the same amount as a lone pensioner, using minimal services.

Even just threats of violence are technically assault, so arrest the lot of them! Why should the victim suffer? Remember Tony Martin, the farmer?
