Christine Keeler

Anyone remember the Profumo Affair ? I have to say I was too young to really know what it was all about. My one frequently used reference to it is the expression "well he would wouldn't he" said by prostitute Mandy Rice Davies when told that Lord Astor denied knowing her. For me it's become a statement of the obvious.

Remember the scandal quite well think I was around 13 or 14 years of age at the time, all quite tame by today's shenanigans.

The "affair" was as has been said quite tame by todays standards[don't know whether that's a good or bad thing] In the context of the time the consequences could have been very dangerous for the country.

Johnny Hallyday

Who ? Well he was/is huge in France, I mean mega huge, even until very recently. Supermarkets would have life-size cut outs of him, he was everywhere. I suppose he was the French equivalent of Elvis. I'm expecting a day of French national mourning he was that big. Not OUR cup of tea of course  ::) but he wasn't that bad.

That is terribly sad and a great loss to his family along with the police community.

They risk their lives for us every day, and sometimes things go tragically wrong.

RIP Dixie :'( :'( :'(
