Whatever floats your boat, it's a pity it lost the fight against the ugly tree! :D

why do all so called modern gizmo cars have a touch screen glued to the dash? There doesn't seem to be any design about it ...... ah! there's a space - glue an iPad to it!

Try the one(s) in the jaguar i-pace. They're nicely integrated into the dash, but I found them damn near unreadable in any form of daylight, much less sunshine due to reflections, made much worse by any fingerprints on them.

The vertical stuck on orientation looks a bit bobbins, but IME is much more practical.

Indeed, I'd take something that looks like the current 'stang, but with the AWD and sub 4s power plant out of the SUV.

Then again, putting out a milk float version that pulls the pants down of Detroit's finest 8 cylinder would upset the yanks wouldn't it?!

True, but afaik you could always buy a cylinder deficient one, if you so desired?

The four pot one is, by definition, suffering from a four cylinder deficiency...

Hell!!

I heard they were doing one, and I thought any electric version fo the mustang was a horrendous corruption of the breed.... (yes, the future is electric, no getting away from that, but as far as I'm concerned Mustang, Corvette etc should be the last IC-engined cars standing, once 99% of all new cars sold are EV in 2040 or whenever.) American muscle cars are, by definition, supposed to be offensive, and against 'society', like a Rock song - making a 'nice' rock song, about trees and happy dolphins, sung by.

But that?? It's marketing in charge, clearly.

I'd love to imagine how the initial briefing went - "right, guys, we want to do a 5 door hatch Mustang, and it's an EV" and every designer who really loves cars, and the passion they can evoke, and the spirit and heritage, and noise refused to be a part of it and walked out the door... Those that were left, who weren't really fussed, 'so long as it pays the bills'-types, they designed the car.

According to my son,Ford are on about killing off the Fiesta.Focus,Edge and what they know as Fusion in America at least.I have seen also that they're releasing a new Puma which is a 5 door SUV looking thing that's bigger than a Focus, one of the selling points of which is that you can carry two sets of golf clubs upright in the boot :-X

Killing off the best selling car in the UK? Seems like a plan.
