and dont use or let someone use any acidic chemical on your wheel paint..  for any reason!

I hear wonder wheels is very good.

You're going to need a bigger handle than that to wind him up

I use Concept alloy wheel cleaner,available through unipart stockists,its bloody strong though and plays hell with hands and eyes if the spray drifts but does do a very good job on badly soiled rims

Better with a non-acid based wheel cleaner really as the acid eats its way into the alloy...

Only if the paint/laquer is damaged...

A wheel in good condition should be fine as per instructions on all wheel cleaners... 'Do not use on damaged surfaces'...

bird poo is acidic and remember what it makes to even brand new cars paint

Gave this a go today. Works very well but it doesn't half give off some fumes. I'd advise gloves as well, unlike me, my hands stink of dissolved alloy.
