....but with some concerns for the little fella. 

Our grandson was born Friday just gone, a healthy 9lbs 4oz's, even though he arrived three weeks early. Our daughter-in-law is an insulin dependant diabetic and the choice of a natural birth was taken away from her when she was rushed in for an emergency caesarean at 37 weeks. The birth went well but the little chap is having some breathing issues so he is hooked up to a machine to take the load off his little lungs. Pitiful to see as he can't be held as he is incubated. I'm not a religious person but would gladly accept any help for the little man.
Really hoping for a happy outcome.

Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated. 

Just come back from the hospital, he's got tubes everywhere but is receiving good care. Tube down his throat, tubes up his nose, feed line in his belly button and a morphine drip in his hand. They say he's a strong little lad, he must be as when he moved inside his mum a few weeks back he cracked her pelvic bone and put her in a wheelchair. 
Our lad is trying to keep a brave face but you can see it's wearing him down. The little fella's big sister (nearly 3) wants him home so she can look after him. 
Strange how material things fade in to insignificance at times like this.
