Post by: 05omegav6 on 13 November 2015, 21:10:54
As above...

Registered September 2004.
MoT May 16. No advisories.
274k. Currently 273700, in daily use.
2 owners, Thames Valley Police and myself.
Was an Accident Investigation Vehicle, rather than a traffic bus.

Good bits...

Working self levelling.
Elite black leather interior in tidy condition.
Vauxhall fixed tow bar.
Recent wishbones.
Glacier White.
Two owners from new.
Very well maintained, full plod history plus lots of reciepts for parts as fitted by me.
Cambelt has about 15k/2.5 years to go.
New thermostat and heater matrix 2014.
New exhaust 2014.
LSD.
Original engine, box and diff.
Goes like a scalded cat.
16" 5spoke alloys with decent tyres, including spare.
Rear subframe polybushes and rebuilt rear diff mounts.
Also front antiroll bar polybushes.
Irmscher rear spoiler only... keeping rest of Irmscher bits.

Not so good bits...

Couple of extra holes in roof... water tight.
Aircon needs regassing.
Front bumper has a scuff on the ns front corner.
Rear arches starting to scab on the underside.
Heated rear window only works on two bars.
No radio.
Cat C twice. Once for rear quarter 2009, once for stonechip damage to bonnet/roof 2013.
Uses a bit of oil.
Nearside sill cover isn't white.
EML is on... 0420/0430... ::)

Also...
Could sell with following, subject to buyers id (passport/driving licence/proof of address) being passed to both Sussex and local Police...

Whelen Liberty 49" LED lightbar, fully populated blue with alley and take down lights.
Whelen TIR3 LEDs blue grill lights/rear blues/rear reds.
Woodway Optilink controller.
Whelen Alpha siren with airhorn and horn ring control.
Headlight and rear fog light flashers.
Built in power board with relays and fuses.
Vascar video recorder and camera system, only one camera and not working properly, so good for spares.

With plod gubbins and subject to identity conditions...

£3,500 ono.

Without plod gubbins, £1,000 ovno.

Any particular pics, just ask...

Cat C twice

Would that force any increase on insuring it  :-\ Or is it something they just dont check or something you have to declare  :-\

Don't ask, won't tell... obviously it's on the database as such, so not hiding anything :y

Should add, also on PNC as civvy owned/undergoing restoration. Only reason it isn't blue and yellow is because I currently commute in it...

Some insurance companies don,t like CatCs ( as i found out) they also might ask for proof of repair, depending when it was recatagorized. Not a huge problem and as said depends on the company you are asking for a quote from. :y

Being a factory manual 3.2 cause the most headaches when renewing, not yet had the whole insuring a cat C thing... Only time it was an issue was that they dropped the cover from fully comp the tpft pending a fresh Mot and VIC... Changing insurers soon sorted any grumbles :y

I remember it being a very quick car to drive. I think it's a good buy, the mileage can be ignored as anything it's ever needed, Al has done!
