Removed the battery from TBE, looks like a sudden failure.  Just running a recovery charge with it off the car, but think its likely to be toast.

Battery from the Superior Silver Bullet fitted - if it starts this morning, clear not a heavy drain from the car :)
that's the thing about "maintenance free batteries" fit and forget, then a dry cell will bite you on the arse at the most inconvenient time

And Battlebus found and collected whilst TBE is off the road.  That damn thing can always be relied on.

yes, the zaf tractors are very resilient , just be careful with all that raw power  ;D

I'm looking at blanking the EGR though on ours ,trouble is, the zaf is so resilient ,i keep forgetting to look which type of EGR blank i need( the simple plate or the plug with ecu emulator that you wire to the MAF)  :-[
Pre 2003 had the vac operated EGR, and will need some ecu love. Post 2003 had the electric EGR with feedback, so also needs ecu love.
thanks  :y
trouble is it's Jan 2003 registered so I need to look  ;D

To drive such a car Henry will need to be .......

A liberal-minded gay love teacher or philosopher from  Helsinki or.....

A suicidal depressed detective from the north of Sweden.

......and thin wire-rimmed spectacles must be worn at all times.

I'm not playing devils advocate, Henry, I am genuinely interested as I may be after a big estate soon.

Ste, on that version everything is available other than certain interior trim bits and some of the audio kit.

The insignia based ones on the other hand there is availability issues on a number of parts.

Thanks, Jimmy. Like a lot of folk on here, I cannot afford to be off the road for any more than one day. Both of our cars are in constant use and waiting around for parts would be no good at all.
