Omega General Help / Re: Washer pump
« on: 11 May 2018, 00:26:06 »
All sorted, the filter was to blame. Thanks for the advice, and saving me a few wasted £s in the process.
Was it like a white, stringy, slime that had built up?  That's a sign that either your screenwash strength is too weak, or your screenwash is poor quality (or both ;D).

Nope, nothing white found, just looked like dirt tbh. Screenwash is never too weak, always put plenty in, can't speak to the quality of it though, usually use the Halfords stuff, or Tesco if there's nothing else, but it's rare I use that.

Thanks for that, I'll have a look and see if that's the case. Found a new pump on eBay for less than £30 so it won't break the bank if it does need replacing.

I can hear the whirring noise when trying to spray the windscreen.

Omega General Help / Washer pump
« on: 08 May 2018, 10:42:01 »
Seems my washer pump is starting to give up, works intermittently with a very weak stream at times. I've found a replacement on eBay, I'm assuming this is the right part no.90508709. My question is how easy is it to replace, I've seen someone mention the steps needed to remove the bottle, is it the same or is there an easier method as I only need to change the pump?

Any help would be appreciated, thanx.

Not many of their items have an actual item page as such, I think it's just the offers. Everything else is listed by part number and has a very brief description

Genuinepartsearch.co.uk have some for just over £13 Inc delivery
Please post a link to that. I can only seem to find 5L cans of Dexos 2 5W/30.
Thanks,

Just search for 95599582,  it should come up. That's the one I purchased the other day.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, I'm in the same boat as Migv6, I let my membership elapse a while back and am looking to rejoin, does anyone know if ABS still do the TC card?
Just bear in mind not all VX Dealers accept Trade Club any more.

I know, the closest one to me used to be Frosts, before it all changed. Now, if I remember correctly, the nearest one is Go Vauxhall over at Burgess Hill. No idea if I'll have any trouble with the ABS card there though.

Will sort out my membership then

Omega General Help / Re: Quick question about TC oil

Frosts are no longer a GM franchise ;)

Go Vauxhall have a Parts warehouse in Burgess Hill, and still offer Trade Club prices :y

Might give Go a look then  :y

I do not understand why members try to save a few pennies on oil.If you run an Omega the cost of fuel is a killer and you should think about changing to a modern car which would save you much more on fuel savings. I love my Omega and give it the best as far as oil is concerned.

Which is why I was asking about the one in the eBay link, it's Trade Club oil. I always prefer to have the genuine stuff if possible, just getting harder and harder to find VX oil at a reasonable price. Will see about giving my local a shout, although they're listed as dealers on the VX website they've taken most of the VX signage down as they're not exclusively VX now.

As the title suggests, I've got a quick question about oil. I'm almost out of my 5ltr pots of GM 10w40 oil and need to stock back up, however, I'm nowhere near a TC dealer anymore. Don't really want to splash out on anything other than genuine, as so far, it seems to be stopping my breather pipes clogging up anywhere near as much as the likes of Castrol. So, I happened upon this on eBay, any idea if it's genuine, and if the price is OK? Thoughts?
