Did you find solution? I haven't towed anything in a while but today as normal reversed out of garage and rear fog light indicator went on. However fog light isn't on when it does it. In drive or park everything works normally  ???

Measured ht leads, ok. Changed coil pack and spark plugs. No work   ::)

I surfed around internet and bumped into exactly similar story as mine (strobing EML light .etc) and the reason was broken coil pack, so I think my best choice of multiple ~100eur guesses is to choose the coil pack for starters....

Okay, I dont have any tech 2 or so but if they are out of tune what needs to be done?

ICV=idle control valve? It is cleaned frequently anyway and last cleaning under a year ago but will do that. Also it's running roughly on higher rpms too.

It's giving 14,1V and that is normal, atleast that is what it has always given

MAF unplugged runs ok-ish yeah. I must admit I have never ever seen Omega running with engine light on so is it normal for it to like blink very quickly? It's like not glowing all the time it's blinking very high frequency.

Edit: now it runs with MAF plugged the same way as with it unplugged??

Is the crank sensor the one near oil filter?

Hey,

-99 MV6 left me on road

Traction control was working as I was accelerating hard and then power went down and then engine shutdown.

Paperclip gave
73   Mass Air Flow Sensor Voltage Low
74   Mass Air Flow Sensor Voltage High

Is this clear MAF case?

Engine is running roughly and will eventually shutdown. Starts but will not run.

Also it's about -15-20degrees in Finland now and I filled her up 10min before incident. (Had to check from receipt if I put diesel into her but luckily no  :y )

Omega General Help / Re: Front Strut Top hat alignment

Solved the on my car, it was the strut mount. Washers were in really good condition. Bigger hole came over tire and smaller over stabilizer bar.

YESSS :D :y

It was the strut mount.

The arrows shows one main reason, that metal part comes longer downwards on the old one so the washer will only press the metal part up and will not hit the rubber itself.
In the new one the washer will press evenly the rubber and the metal part.

What would I do without you all  :y

I'll drive carefully untill I get this done and will get back after I have found the reason.

This happened me last year. Something started to make noise in front after changing shock absorbers. My findings was that the outside of the #2 on the picture was hitting the arch. This may be also caused by the problem I have now (huge cap between arch and top plate) but anyhow I didn't turn the #2 I only took hammer and hammered it down 2mm and that did the trick. Next time I'll know to turn it to right position  :y

No, LC = Lotus Carlton, or LO = Lotus Omega for those with the steering wheel on the wrong side of the car. ;)

Ahhh okay  :D

You have fitted #17 in that picture :-\

Yes I have all the stock parts there

Is that #5851 the right part at pedders?

The lower strut washer (Item 17) may be punched through by the shock absorber strut too (LC's have a habit of doing that).

I'm not sure is it my English or something else but what you mean by LC?

Is it this we are talking as pedders strut (5851 Strut Mount)?

I'm just changing the top strut mounts and I didn't follow what are you aligning with the hole??
