« on: 03 March 2024, 17:11:41 »

I do have bits to sell but can't post them on here, rather they went to people on the forum

Last night my omega 3.2 estate was stolen from a garage. Reg KN52EHF
It's a 2002 moonstone grey with the cream leather.
If it been taken to strip some telltale parts are as follows.
Bonnet lots of lacquer peel on drivers side.
Rear tailgate with the spoiler, glass removed and badge and rust repairs which are blackish colour as treatment done.
Wheels had been refurbished but on one the paint is pitted.
Cream leather seat were near perfect.
Not much to add any help appreciated.

Omega General Help / Re: Live data on a 3.2

I think this is probably the problem that the sensors are either on the way out or are wrong. I changed 2 from fleabay so I'm thinking that I'll change all four for the correct ones.

Thanks going to renew all then try some Cataclean in it. I've checked over all setting etc so if this fails then I think new cats.

Sorry been very busy.
Can I have part numbers for the exhaust sensors. The car is 2002 3.2 automatic estate would like the bosch numbers if any one could get them. In the process of renting a garage as the English weather is so unreliable so I can actually get this back up and running.

Thanks for replies.
The cars had new Bosch coil packs, genuine spark plugs and a new thermostat when the head gaskets were replaced. Could this be exhaust sensor issue or maybe the cats, the sensors were moved to stop the eml light coming on.
I had to replace a pre cat and after cat sensor with original ones as they were damaged when being removed.

There are no error codes since the last time. Well since 2 of the lambda sensors were changed.
Compression tests were fine since head gaskets changed.
MPG is not what you’d expect at 18 mpg.
Have checked timing belt with cam locking kit and that is spot on.

Omega General Help / Live data on a 3.2

Hi all, still having problems with an omega 3.2 2002 reg auto.
My previous posts show the problems and parts that have been replaced.
The car seems fine at idle although fuel consumption shows 18 mpg. When it's in drive it sounds rough on the passenger side. I have live data but not sure how to post it on here.

Think the sensors are probably original from when the car was built and it’s now done 111000 miles. Did replace one as when I got the sensors moved one was damaged trying to remove it
Will try to get reading and some live data to compare.q

Sorry the codes do start with a zero so read 0161,0161,0130
Does this mean new sensors and hopefully will resolve the problems with fuel economy.

Omega General Help / 3.2 compression results
« on: 21 July 2018, 14:00:59 »
Hi all,
As most will remember had a lot of issues which turned out to be Head Gaskets gone.
It’s a 3.2 auto elite estate on a 52 plate.
It’s still not right and I’m getting 15-16 miles to the gallon.
Contacted serek who advised compression test so here goes.
Before new gaskets readings.
Num 1 8.0.bar 115 psi
Num 2 8.2 bar 120 psi
Num 3 7.5 bar 110 psi
Num 4 7.0 bar 100 psi
Num 5 11. bar 160 psi
Num 6 13. bar 190 psi

New head gaskets and 6,000 miles later

Num 1 14.5 bar 210 psi
Num 2 14.0 bar 200 psi
Num 3 13.5 bar 195 psi
Num 4 14.5 bar 210 psi
Num 5 13.5 bar 195 psi
Num 6 13.0 bar 190 psi
Any ideas would be appreciated as thinking of selling it as patience is running out now.

Omega General Help / Re: Self levelling shocks

Shocks absorbers turned up and were changed in a few hours.
Originals were actually rusted right through but what a difference it’s made with the new ones.
Just as well that I changed them and they came from a German ebay era and are original gm shocks
