Prefer leather seats although cloth with electrics might do.
Now i am a poor man so a bargain i am looking for, good mot and not Starship Enterprise mileage.
Don't want a lot do i for little money but if you don't ask you don't get.
I am located in South Wales so if your in Slovakia that might be a bit far for me to travel so what's about anything ?
Awaiting in anticipation for the masses of replies but bear in mind i'm almost 58 and time is not on my side.
Would love to own a petrol Omega again but economy is a must.
Russ..

The 2.5TD autos are actually really bad on fuel, especially around town. Manuals better option :y
Also you will struggle to find low miles TD these days :(
-
Hi Tunnie
I know they are not great around town on mpg and i'm not looking for sub 50k car either but i do want an auto, of course petrol and lpg would do, 18mpg no good but 25 to 28mpg around town is fine.
-
Good luck :y
But it means mostly PFLs - very few FL TDs about. :(
-
Rather assumes BVS can drive a manual ::)
If it must be diesel and auto, then you have a choice of one engine... The 2.5 dt lump only fitted with the AR25 slushbox, which will last all of five minutes if chipped... And chances are it will have been chipped as it's a lethargic slug which could drink both Gazza and George Best under the table without. Side effect of this is that you'll need to swap the box for an AR35...
Better off finding a nice petrol one and run with it... The 2.2 auto petrol will match the 2.5 dt auto on fuel and is unlikely to need a new box. Ever. :y

I am forever looking for the ultimate car.lol.
The best Omega i had was the one i bought from Daz but due to anticipating losing my job at the time it had to go.
Never say never is my motto, It has not worked up till now, but one day. ::)
Taken on board the info about the AR25 box and the 2.2 petrol, I am open to suggestions and offers.

Depending how deep your pockets are, there is a mint looking 3.2 for sale. Dead cheap for what it is :y
Not so good on fuel though ;D
Do you do big miles?
-
Big miles sometimes on weekend, depends on weather and where we decide to go for a day out, 300 miles on a weekend can be frequent.
I have deep pockets but short arms. Who's got the mint looking 3.2 then.

It's in Brizzle as well so not far. :y The bridge toll might tip you over budget though! :-\ ;D
-
It's the mot thats a concern to be honest, as for the bridge i will use the blue badge.lol
-
Ok so no diesels about then, Omega saloon, auto pref leather or cloth with full electrics, Does not need work, anything fit the criteria.
-
Thought the one in Brizzle was sold. :-\

Brother has a 2.2 CD saloon (petrol) auto coming up soon with sub 80K on it, it's had cam belt and water pump done this year by me, front wish bones done for MoT a few months ago and he said it now drives sweet. I can ask him how much if you want me to. :y
-
Hi Joff
Yes you could find out some details for me please.
Thanks
Russ

The reason i want an auto is i'm fed up of changing gears, lazy git. To be honest my truck i drive for a living is an auto and driving a manual at the weekends is not relaxing any more, If it were a high powered sports car then i would enjoy it, but can you get a diesel Ferrari. ::)
Reason i need electric seats is for the Mrs to be honest, after hip operations etc the ability to adjust the seat on journeys at ease is a must.

Fully electric passenger seat is a four bolt, plug and play exercise :y
Drivers seat involves a smidgen of soldering, but is otherwise equally straightforward ;)

I do have a set of front Elite seats in the parts shed in leather :y

May consider parting with my `53 plate 2.2CDX petrol auto. Working Elite cloth seats fitted, rear blind, rear bootlip, CD alloys fitted (not keen on CDX ones)around 115k. Will have new MOT

Still looking for the right vehicle, Must have full electric seats, leather or cloth, prefer leather and must be an auto. Will consider diesel and petrol Omega but not one that needs lots of work.
-
Ok I missed out on Dan's Omega, Any others out there, prefer a saloon.
