Pretty certain you Herts boys used to occasionally meet up at South Mimms.

I think I would be interested - I might even have a good pub venue and the opportunity to use a back street type garage for facilities for a workshop meet. 3 or 4 cars under cover and 3 or 4 cars more just outside. - Near to Hatfield - let me check it out.

Can't you Herts boys get down to Reading on 04/04 for the 8th Reading meet. We usually fix minor things, drink tea and have been known to have a carvery afterwards.

It's a great day, especially if the weather is like this!

Well, we meet in the Leisure Centre car park and have a general chat and meet any new attendees, then, we shoot round to Pauls (VX1) works and carry out any repairs (I think Paul has a cambelt lined up this time) and then we shoot back to the carvery. It's on the river. I will be taking my 12 year old and my 20 month old and my wife will be there about 1.45, after work.

So, yeah, kind of picnic / cambelt / chat type thing

Shame we could not meet at the original venue, fully understand VX1's frustration with people saying yes i'm coming then have them blow out with lame excuses, as that would get my goat up too to the extent i would not bother to waste anymore of my time, maybe next time we could meet in the summer somewhere and have a nice BBQ and a few beers

Look forward to meeting you all on 04/04 as i'm new to the forum and plan to meet as many people as i can throughout the year if possible.

This looks to be kicking off again now after contacting a few people. [size=12]Herts Beds and Bucks [/size]

There also seems to be interest from members in North London too...

The nearest seems to be Reading which is quite far for most people over this way so if anyone is interested PM me and i will arrange something

I know there may be a meet at Ashridge soon also

Update

i'm in the process of talking to Bob Dent to see if we can arrange some kind of meet for people from Hert's,Bed's and Buck's....

There are now quite a few members from these area's and Bob has also commented on having a different person select a location for each meet, as we know from a previous experience when you have one person arranging it the locations seem to be within a short distance of their ccomfort zone and we dont want this,we want the meets to be arranged as a group, so everyone can be involved...

If anyone is interested in attending a regular Herts,Beds and Bucks meet PM either myself or Bob Dent and we will put something together shortly.
