Ok, failure to obtain MV6 springs leads me to ask the question, does anyone have a set of Police spec springs for a saloon that they want to sell?  ::)

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / CID - With a rash....
« on: 03 October 2018, 13:30:34 »
Just testing some NCDC / CID bits I've acquired, has anyone seen anything like this on an LCD panel before? It looks like damp has affected it rather than dead pixels....

I know they are rarer than rocking horse plop but does anyone have a set of front MV6 LSC springs with lowish mileage on them?

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / CID De-pair
« on: 25 September 2018, 23:41:45 »
As i'm having a senior moment, should you have a paired CID that you know the pairing code for but you don't have the HU, can you de-pair and put the CID back into delivery mode using Tech II?

Camcover gaskets, cam seals, front crank seal, cambelt kit, auxbelt kit, water pump, oil cooler plate (replaced whole cooler) and a couple of surprises - oil leak from oil filter housing to block seal. Fortunately Serek had the necessary seal in stock.

I'm bound to have missed something!

Many thanks, really appreciate the amount of work done today  :y

I have two pairs of used LA (For Elite Self Levelling) Saloon springs for sale, both pairs in excellent condition with very few miles on them. £60 a pair plus P&P or collect (preferred)

Also have some standard front springs in well used condition that i'll throw in with a pair of rears if required  :)

General Car Chat / Trolley Jack for lowered cars
« on: 23 April 2018, 17:47:08 »
Need some advice!

Looking for a trolley jack that will handle lowered cars, at my Dad's house I have a 2.5 Tonne 'unknown' brand one (It's too heavy to lug backwards and forwards between houses) which is generally a good workhorse and I can use for all our cars lowered or not - however this is on a hard standing slabs / concrete area whereas I want to purchase something that I can use on my tarmac driveway at home by sliding a piece of board underneath to stop the jack wheels sinking!

I've been considering this as it's around my budget and seems to have good reviews.

https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/clarke-ctj1250ab-1-25-tonne-aluminium-racing-j/

I like the large saddle with built in rubber pad but am concerned with the lifting capacity, obviously the jack is only to lift the car high enough to get the axle stands underneath.

On another note, is it possible to get new seals etc for trolley jacks like this www.halfords.com/workshop-tools/garage-workshop/trolley-jacks/halfords-2-tonne-trolley-jack, I have a couple of these style (one Halfords, one unknown but identical) but they get that sinking feeling now when trying to lift anything sfter a few years of use!

General Car Chat / Thanks again to SOS Automotive
« on: 16 April 2018, 19:56:51 »
Cheers to Serek and his team for sorting out the MOT on the daily driver, done 30K since last MOT (bit less than usual), Car had MV6 springs on it which were around 90K - bought new from VX a few years ago - but a combination of salt, pot holes and age (definately not a driver skill issue  ::) ;D) has managed to snap one of the fronts so it's now running on Irmscher fronts  :)

As always - Top man, always worth the visit to 'get the job done' by someone who really knows these cars.  :y

Back soon for the 200K Cambelt kit, Auxbelt Kit etc  :D
