Fitted a new (to me) fuel flap lock mechanism on the V70, but it still didn't work.  >:(  ::)

Thinking it must be a wiring fault or dodgy relay I went in to have a quick google to discover that the fuel flap lock operates on a time delay and locks about 20 minutes after you've locked the car.  :-[  ::)

So it seems that it has always worked as it should, I'm a complete numpty and I now have a spare fuel flap lock for a V70!  :-X

FFS!  >:(  ;D

so when stealing fuel out of a V70, you need to open the flap within 20 minutes of the owner locking the car  :o
which is very easy to walk by,open the flap and return later with Mr Jerry n pipe
sounds like piss poor security to me  :(

WHY do manufacturers HIDE all this information in owner's manuals  ???
50% of the population (men) won't read it  :(

Finished installing the front parking camera apart from two minor matters. Not sure where to put the screen inside the car. Its a bit in the way of something no matter where I locate it.
Second thing is that once I powered up the camera I realised its sat in the bumber 90 degrees out, so my house looks like its laid on its side.  :-[ ;D

Drove it somewhere, I think Surry, maybe Sussex.  When did the M25 become that shit on a Sunday morning.  Drove it back late afternoon. M25 still shit.

Probably managed well over 40mpg, but never reset trip before setting out (and the high speed runs on Friday won't have done much for this tank's MPG).

Remember, there are 10 types of people.

Those who understand binary, and those who don't.
