Title: Fingers crossed I've not broke it
Post by: Andy B on 26 November 2019, 09:57:54
.... SWMBOs car is due a service, I'm too bone idle to crawl under it so I A framed'd it to Citroen which is about 6 miles awayand due to traffic barely got to 30mph the whole journey.

When I got there I realised I'd left it in Reverse & not neutral (it's a slush box auto)  :o :-[ :-[ :-[ I drove it around their car park OK

When they've serviced it, just reverse it all the way home and that should be all right!  :)

I got the bus into town and back the day my pass arrived, just to see a) if the pass worked and b) if buses had changed much since I used them. Never again, not while I've got a hole in my arse.

Didn't realise you were that short of money! . Being serious you could practise your spiel on here. If you can cope with the forum hecklers, pundits, experts and nay sayers then the general public would be a breeze.

I think the bus only comes through our village twice a week. It goes to Colchester, a place I rarely want to visit, and takes a good hour to get ther. If I wanted to go there it would take 15 - 20 minutes in my car. Cant see me bothering to apply for a bus pass when the time comes.

Took the bus to Diss from Bury St Eds to get my bike back, (havn,t fitted tow bar on Vectra yet). It,s about 18 miles, took 1hr 25mins and the rattley old bus stunk of old food. Never again, the ride back on the bike via the back roads was great. 8)

Yeah, and that's Bury St Edmunds. Try it in Barnsley or Liverpool. It doesn't just stink of old food, it's there, on the floor. And empty cans rolling back and forth as the bus brakes and accelerates, and kids and their mums shouting into their phones, between mouthfuls of red bull.  ;D
