Cruise control retrofit
« on: 12 March 2009, 13:47:19 »

Hi I just checked this guide by Simon_Omega after fitting a CDX indicator stalk with cruise into my V6 (manual) reflection:

http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1197646817

The looms there, connected up no problems.

Thing is that guide makes no mention of any pedal switches but I was led to believe I needed some. I've just been looking in the footwell of my old CDX (auto) but can't find any switches, whats the score there?

I know I need to get it enabled on a tech2, but where are these swicthes, if anywhere? Need to find out soonish cos the motors going to the scrappers.

Thanks guys.

The brake switch will be there already, up at the base of the brake pedal assembly, you should find taped up to a section of the loom a white 2 pin connector, this is for the clutch pedal. you should see a hole in the clutch pedal mounting for the switch to fit into.

If your car is a prefacelift then you do not need to have it enabled by tech 2. to test your cruise control in the meantime, short out the white 2 pin connector with a paperclip, take the car for a spin (over 30mph) and press the cruise button. it should hold the speed.

That guide is for the later model, drive by wire, engines only.

For the standard v6, prefacelift types, check the following guide by another usefull chap....
