These are Great value & christ dont they work well!!!
« on: 21 March 2012, 02:08:14 »

Hi guys if anybody is replacing there front discs you've got to get a pair of these!! i fitted them today & have just driven 185miles...

now normally with new discs & pads they are shite for ages until bed in!! or you end up cracking the new pads by accident braking too hard before they have run in...

I priced up standard discs from 3 local motor robbing factors & my local rather useless vauxhall dealer... prices between £42 & £120 pair +vat on them prices!!! 1 guess who the £120 quote was from!! & these are for standard!!

Anyway.. the normal 5/10 mile pull to left right/right left & then wow!!! Nearly went threw the soddin screen!!!

After the 185miles they pull up true nice & straight & are getting sharper & sharper & are most defo worth the money!!

£34.99 a pair inc VAT yes thats right!! £34.99 A PAIR INC VAT!!! CROSSDRILLED!! GROOVED!! & VENTED!!

Not only do they look good but they work way better than the standard discs even after only 10/20miles!!

So go get yourselves a bargin!! that is defo worth every penny of the small amount of cash!!!

Performance discs that are cheeper than standard!!!

I hope your enthisasm lasts...

Results here over the last 5 1/2 years show virtually no cheap pattern disks last well.

They are all great to begin with, but in a few weeks / months the juddering will set in.

Ive just replaced a virtually new set (mintex) on one of our cars, with genuine, as I KNOW they will last well and perform perfectly.  couldnt stand the juddering of the others.

Cheap discs won't last long at all, had a set on my Omega before they were shit after a few thousand miles.

As others have said, I hope you have found a pattern set of discs that will go against the experiences over time on here.

For me, genuine only (on TC) are the best value because they are proven to work and last. That reminds me... Must start thinking about doing the front discs on mine ::)

In the 8 years I've had my MV6, I've probably had about 4 sets of genuine GM, and 3 sets of pattern.

GM's always changed due to wear and the inside face corrosion problem, but good for a couple of years. None of the pattern ones lasted more than 2 months without warping.

I would class myself as reasonably heavy on brakes... ...pads last about 5k

Same experience - pattern discs great at first, w*nked out in a couple of thousand miles (Excess judder).

Genuine Vx discs & pads (on TC :y) last well without judder  ;)

Op (Zippy2012) full marks for your enthusiasm but 185 miles is 185 miles not thousands - hope yours last ok but for that price they are likely to be krap  ???

Well all i can do is keep you all posted on how they do,  ???

the company i got them from has only just started importing these discs, i would say i drive my mig quite hard to be honest & even racing back tonight against my mates supra across country no brake fade & were getting better, ide even forgotten that im still ment to be bedding them in there so good! lets hope they last!!

1 main reason brake discs warp tho is heavy braking from 50 60 70+ to a stop & sitting with your foot on the brake slowly bending a hot disc out of shape... But im sure most of you knew that already...  :-\

as i say all i can do is keep you all informed.. but they do look good to so if you do drive like miss daisy & have open spoked alloys they look great & are a cheep mod that at mo work well.... But we shall see...  :y
