Seems to me that POLMOstrów (Polmo) in Poland is the only firm still manufacturing Omega exhausts. Parts have an embossed 'P' logo.

I believe one of the other members was recently able to get one from Auspuffteile.de here. I believe, but you should check, that kit 351 is a Saloon (Sedan) and kit 353 is an Estate (Kombi). They list shipping costs of €15 and 4 days to the UK.

You may have to pay VAT and a clearance fee. Shouldn't be any duty as it's under the limit of £135.00. You could ask.

They don't list Vauxhall parts separately so you're looking for Opel Omega B parts.

I had the 350 kit for a 2.5 some years ago. It was fine and shipped from Germany in less than a week. A perfect fit. Eternal car also supplied the Polmo parts.

One irritation with all of the exhausts, including Eternal Car, is that they have taken to cutting the downstream pipes near the centre boxes. They supply sleeves to join them back together. This is to reduce the length of the shipping carton and presumably the shipping cost. In principle this should not be a big deal however we found it's more difficult to get everything properly aligned without the use of a ramp.

The having the middle pipe cut is a real PITA as aligning things is not simple ,but doable on proper ramp :y

Budget for 2 new coil packs aswell as they will be oil fried too.Worth also doing the 6 plugs whilst you are in that far as that way you have dealt with some of the common V6 issues and protected things for a few more years.

Did this on my old Elite when had similar issues.

I cut the "quick push connector" off the pipe. Then pushed a nylon pipe joiner with differing sizes each end..think it was called a pipe reducer.... into the end and secured with a jubilee clip. Then found a piece of pipe the best size to fit onto the matric stub end and joined the 2 sections together.

Looks abit Heath Robinson but solved the issue and saved trying to source a NA pipe.

Think the reducer was sold for fish ponds or similar

General Car Chat / Re: Another Omega MOT Pass
« on: 03 February 2022, 13:00:31 »
Pass is always good and another worry to put to bed.

Mine had a small rust patch on the inner wheel arch by the steering box. What looked like a small area turned into a much larger job and required NickW to spend 2 days cutting/shaping and welding patches in place. We were worried the steering box mounts were rusted too but managed to repair albeit a temporary fix..2 years later and each MOT passed so all good but dont ignore rust in the inner wing/steering box area and keep fingers crossed is not too far gone...just saying

If light wasnt on before you replaced ignition module I expect you have trapped a wire from the mass in the cable tray or left something unplugged.

Retrace your work and it should appear what the issue is ...several connecters at back where you pull multiplug from module that might not be fitted properly .

Needs a code really to be sure .

Remove the cable and complete assembly, then weld a hasp and staple to the bonnet and fit a pad lock.
That should work until you loose the key  ;D

The small extra bit of rubber that joins the 2 doesnt have any oil to stop so you could fit either without issues.

My 2003 has had the 2 separate seals fitted for the past 3 years without any issue.I suppose you could just run a bead of black sealant across the channel in the cover but my experience says it makes no difference.

The VSC senario gave every team an option and a decision to make which was within their own control..Yes Merc didnt make a good choice but it was theirs and they lived or died by it.

The final 4 lap circus was not a choice they had and given Merc were + 10 seconds up the road from RB its just not right that for a final single lap they were in effect side by side...as I said earlier that is right.

Yes it may of given the huge crowd and TV viewers a thrilling viewing but it wasnt right
