Got an as new, still in the packet lemforder driver side wishbone, Pagid handbrake shoes and a lemforder steering idler.

Might have rear pads and vented discs but I'll have to check!

Make offers on the above as they'll be sat doing nothing so!

As per subject,
I'm weighing my 2.6 estate in at the weekend so the Elite alloys have been taken off.

In really good condition but with paint bubbled/flaked off in the bolt holes, come with tyres although two are a bit knackered (one budget tyre goes down and another is worn on the outer edge) - two tyres are decent brands but all are around 4mm tread maybe 3.5 except as described on the edge for example

Can post pictures if needed and check tread depths + tyre brands etc if needed

200 ONO

Thanks
Alex

Car Parts, bits For Sale & Wanted / Re: GTO brakes f/S

Hi Robsey,

I don't suppose you have the measurement between the mounting holes do you? (as in centre of one hole to centre of the other)

I've ended up with the bigger C6 corvette brakes from Germany but i'll have to get rid of them and will be after GTO brakes if they're different spacing between the mounting holes

Thanks
Alex

Straight bolt on requires calipers from cars with a 296x28 mm disc... Base model 5.7 Monaro/Pontiac GTO... Corvette and Monaro VXR use 330x32mm discs which causes offset issues on the Omega... ie not straight bolt on.

Either way, you also need Monaro front brake hoses... Slightly longer :y

Yeah I read about the different calipers (296 older monaro and newer monaro/corvette etc ones though there look to be LT1 vs LS1 differences on the Camaro)

I've been looking through the EBC brake catalogue at different discs as they actual list the spec of the monaro discs for example and both the 5.7 and 6.0 VXR look to be 83mm disc height from memory which would mean only a larger diameter disc would be required (such as the 323mm audi a8 3.7 discs as the height and diameter are roughly correct to be a larger version of the omega disc to suit the corvette calipers)

Thanks

General Discussion Area / Re: Welding...

Personally I'd stick with stick welders if a beginner or not intending to go on a course etc - you buy electrodes to suit what you're welding and turn it up or down

I bought an ACDC tig welder a few weeks ago having only ever done stick, getting the hang of exhaust pipe now after practicing on sheet without filler, with filler, thicker stuff, then sheet and exhaust pipe - still wouldn't say I was good haha!  - There are a lot of variables: different thickness filler rods, tungsten grinding, gas coverage, heat, pulse for heating/cooling

Thanks
Alex

Just been through all the responses and lol r.e stemo

P.S Tunnie post your omega up on here when you decide to sell it

and in response to TB scrapping THE MV6, I hope you didnt let the wheels go with the car! lol
The later elite wheels are hard enough to find, never mind the MV6 ones!

Hello,

I don't suppose anybody happens to know what the distance centre to centre of the bolt holes is do they?

A rather cheap set of corvette brakes has come up and I can sort a disc (rather than the wrong PCD monaro etc discs)

Thanks
Alex
