Is anyone else watching / bidding on the lovely looking blue elite estate?
Looks like a lovely car....I'd be bidding if my circumstances allowed it.......
-
Looks a nice car, not sure I'd pay that for it, but then again, for the money what would you buy instead...
I also have a dislike of trade sellers who try and go down the 'its part-ex, sold as seen, no comebacks, off you fu£k' type route when selling a car. But that's a personal thing and nothing to do with the car at hand.

Looks to be a very nice example. Even has CID, which most don't. With the low miles I don't think the price is unreasonable, but its a dealer price and I would want some kind of warranty.

Legally, you will have some recourse regardless of what the ad might say... The reality though is that the response will be proportionate to the purchase price.
That said, it's of a mileage where it will need a grand sunk into it before the next MoT ;)

Yes, I had a good look at the MOT history and there didn't seem to be anything really bad.

I think I know that car, started life down in hoof'land, was owned by an old gent, who stopped driving, and gave it away to the garage who serviced it.. I missed this car, because I was on holidays.. I have been wrong before, but it looks fimiler,, will ask the wife as she knows the chap.

Hmmm, Elite badge missing from drivers door, wrong exhaust and no rust where rust should be, or am I being cynical. :-\

If it' is the same car, was spotless and we'll cared for, hence when it was given away, I wasn't best happy. :'(

My parents neighbour has a Ruebens Red 2.2 that he's had from almost new, always garaged and treated like a baby. It shines like a goodun and has about 80K on the clock. He advertised it for sensible money (around £800 I believe) but nobody is interested. He still has it in his garage on sorn. It does have a couple of small bubbles on the rear arches but is otherwise very tidy. No idea what the underside is like though. My point being that paintwork wise there are still some tidy examples about. :y

"Rubens Red 2.2"
Rightly or wrongly it's lack of desirability is explained by it being a Desmond.

Does look nice in that colour. I noticed only a single tail pipe as well YZ250
