TBB - is that £24 + vat, or actual £24? Because that is a belting price (either way, actually)

Just got my mate/miss DBG a 20l drum of Vx 5w30 for I think £48, which we'll split whoever wants what quantity. Same seller I get my oil from. Sister's Corsa runs 10w40, father's Insignificant runs 5w30, so result.

and yes, it took some digging to figure out what oil my mate's car takes, thanks to eurocrapparts who suggest about three different options  ::)

They recommend all types  for my 2.2  ::) so it`s back to Gm 10-40  semi for me

Haven't looked at the brand of oil for years. Buy it when I need it along with the other parts, as I don't want the rest getting in the way over the next three years. That's worth more to me than a possible few pence a litre saving.

Good point, I'd have to check an invoice, but I'd assume Ex.

Yes, I agree its annoying having to by 20l drums.  But its half the cost, and I kept 3 of the 5l containers, so the 20l gets opened for the first oil change, then the rest is decanted into the empty 5l cans.  Now had I been clever enough to keep 4 5l cans, I could decant straight away.

20l of semi lasts us 6-12 months, depending on her mileage (which varies dramatically).  Typically the Zafira gets an annual change, as it covers hardly any miles, and the Omega gets oil every 5-7k, depending on the weather outside, and how much petrol running she has been doing.

If you buy it during the 4 for 3 offers, you get 4 5litre cans in a box... ;)

They haven't done that on semi for quite a while, sadly.
