There appears to be a fair number of Scottish Omega enthusiasts.
Anyone fancy getting together?
We could tie up with the Scottish ABS/TotalCarlton contingient. They're always up for a meet. In fact, there's moves to have a Jock ABS meet in the foreseeable.
What say you?

I haven't been to Strathclyde Park for a number of years.
Can we have suggestions on exact location, (car park, M&D's etc), and when we meet a decision, can we broadcast it out to the other groups please?

1: 9th Sept; Sat

If everyone select's the dates they are avaliable so choose more than one date, the date with the most votes will be selected for the venue, sound fair

Personnely I would like to have it later in September to give me time to get my bumper & spoiler re-sprayed, Is it possiable to re-schedule it for a weekend that everyone is avaliable because I know it's not only Kev that can't make it!!!!

1 GSi Carlton 1 Carlton Est and 1 Senator...they all left about 15 mins after i got there......obviously need to start using Lynx deodorant!!!
They were parked at the small car park at the front of M&D's...i thought it would have been at the big carpark at the rear!! anyway you didn't miss much mate..... 8-)

When are we going to have the next "Jockular Omega" meet, and going by the last one which was a disaster, I think it should be better organized with time and location clear to all and who's attending :)

Just Me at 1800, and Monzian from Barrhead went at I think at about 1400.
We arranged it for a Sunday a few weeks ago at Strathy Park. Monzian said when he went there was a few Carlton's but left after 5 mins. When I went there was no one!!!.
So I would like to orgnize a meet that we could get maximum attendence from the scottish clan and have a BBQ and a laugh and show the cars, what do you think?

I have no such her indoors issues - as she has gone with a 4x4 to York today with her "trainer" to some bleeding Horsey Auction....so i am owed one!

Stirling Service's, M9 Junction 9 if your coming from the north or Edinburgh or M80 Junction 9, if coming from Glasgow and the south at 1400hrs (that's 2 o'clock in the afternoon for all those people who don't know 24 hr clock)
And there's a Burger King there to keep all the fat boys happy;D (and yes Kev I know that will mean I'II be Very Happy ;D ;D)

Well it looks like my trip down to Stirling may well be up the creek.
A routine service yesterday (why is every torx bolt done so blinking tight), revealed a couple of hoses nearly perished right through, and one completly gone. On order through Vx but may be here today, tomorrow, or at some random point next week. :-/ More worryingly my main radiator seems to be falling apart. :(
A couple of other bits and pieces to sort out as well.
So unless Vx can get me the bits today, then I will not be able to make Sunday's event. :'(
Even the wife is annoyed as she was looking forward to spending the day in the Thistle Centre in Stirling.

I must admit it would be great to meet up, just to put names to faces, but I would have to take the wifes motor Renault Scenic. How could I show my face round here after turning up to a meet in that. Besides that is a 1.6 scenic, so the blinking engine would be jumping oot the bonnet by the time I got to the bottom of the A9.
Like I say hopefully Vx can get the parts today, (as I'm off this afternoon, and this will be my only chance to get it fixed up before the weekend), and I may still make it.

On a more serious note, the barge is back on the road, all serviced up and looking for a good run, so I may just be able to swing it, and turn up. Had to tape up a split hose on the secondary air system but should be okay till next weekend. :y
I'll try and twist the wife’s arm tonight and see if I can still use my day pass for Sunday. ;D

Weather permitting i plan to be up early and wash and polish the MV6, give it a wee clean and air freshening....
Also want to remove the coolant hoses from the sri....
Also want to remove the door skins and cruise control from the cdx.....

Don't Know Mate, I have a vauxhall trade club card I'II get a price and let you know, where is a scrappie in Bellshill AA autobreakers he has 2 omega facelift'sn ot sure which engine is in them tho?
Also The Jockular Omega's had there first sucessful meet at stirling, check out the picture's in the gallery named stirling meet.

The second facelift omega still has it radio fitted I'm sure, it's not the type with the magazine tho!! :)
