WTD: Manual, V6 Omega
« on: 13 April 2015, 15:22:20 »

Hello again! I'm in no major rush, I'm looking for an end of life v6 manual. By end of life, crash damaged, rusted, knackered diff/engine etc; Ideally with a week or two MOT for transporting. I'd prefer 2.5/3.0 but will consider a 2.6/3.2.

If there is nothing about, later in the year I'll be looking for a v6 manual estate to replace my current daily Vectra, this will be a keeper.

Thanks for looking.

Hi Deviator,
thought I would make contact. In my fleet of 6 Omegas I have a V reg 2.5 manual CDX. It was my daughter's car, in daily use until 4 weeks ago when she complained of a banging at the left rear. I diagnosed LH shock absorber adrift. I collected it from Enfield, leaving her another Omega. LH rear shock mounting is rusted and adrift. I have now removed the shock absorber and car drives fine.
I plan to buy another Omega for her, then I shall dispose of this car. MOT runs till October. My plan is to scrap locally after stripping of all useful bits. Engine, gearbox, diff etc. all fine.

What is your requirement?

Hi Terry,

Thanks for the offer. I'd need a car I could drive away, I'm not in in a position of being able to transport a car. If this one fits the bill, let me know, although distance maybe an issue!

Cheers,

Dave
