No, but various offices at work have the reflective/mirror film on them

I believe that if you have a light on inside, you can see in the room .
OK in daylight

Yup - I had (have) the film on the house in Bracknell as it had a lot of south facing windows - it helped with the heat, and you couldn't see in during the day time, but at night with lights on they are the opposite way around and you can see in just fine but not see out.

You can get high UV reflective films for glass.
These look more mirror like / polarised from the outside then tinted and are a better bet imo  :y

We use it at work on the ground floor rooms , can't see anything from the outside and very little loss of light inside .

Those hanging blinds are a bit of a nuisance. I got roller blinds from blinds2go, really easy to fit. I put them into the upvc frame. Perhaps a combination of privacy film and a roller blind, Chris? The film would take care of the daylight hours and pull the blinds down after dark.

I’m trying to avoid blinds of any sort, and the curtains will be drawn at night, we just need the privacy from a neighbours garden, although it is rare to see them in that area, so a reflective film would be ideal. It is on the North side of the house, in fact we could do two other ground floor windows on that side as well, and get rid of the existing blinds there as well. :y

I've used the mirror film in an office so the IT equipment couldn't be seen. It worked very well with little light loss.

Unfortunately that defeats the object of not having anything other than nice curtains in the dining room.
I shall look further into a suitable film. :y

PS Sent from my cabin on a Norwegian cruise thanks to modern technology which I, sometimes, manage to use to my advantage. ::)
