Omega Electrical and Audio Help / alpine dvd problem

this is gonna be a long one so grab a cuppa.....right i have 2 alpine iva d310 dvd players...one has a knackered screen the other is fully working....i wired it into my veccy the other day...just loosly to test speakers....it worked fine.....when i came to permanently wire it in it wasnt working.....when i plug the multi sockets into each other(the power and speaker plugs)without plugging into stereo...there is power all round....when i plug into the head unit the power goes...the ignition live becomes a negative....i have swapped all the bits from both systems( the brain,head unit and tv decoder)....im at my wits end...its a very expensive unbit and cant figure out why it was working one minute and not the next....i know its not a miggy problem but you guys are so so nice an helpful....cheers guys

well the time has come to say bye bye to oof....ive sold the miggy and am now looking at either a veccy sri or jag x type.....so i dont think ill be on here much more....so thanks to all the guys and gals that have helped with what ever problem i have had and to those who took the p**s....laughs loads thanks.....

ive decided to break my precious elite...the lad who was stripping and rebuilding my engine has let me down yet again...all the parts are there...i also have the 3 ltr cams and phlegm(think thats spelt right lol) and 3ltr maf sensor.....parts must be collected as i work long hrs and dont have time to post...sorry...

my baby has been off the road since sept...had the engine stripped with the intention of replacing all the seals and gaskets...but the mechanic is pratting me about...the interior has also been stripped...replaced the pre f/l interior with a newer leather interior from a f/l model....it needs the engine rebuilding...i have also got the 3ltr upgrade bits..phlegm,cams,maf and what else i need...just wants putting together.....the interior just needs door cards putting together....i pulled them apart and put carbon fibre film on them as they were tatty...just need screwing back together and putting on the doors....i dont know what else to do...the car is just sitting there and needs sorting...im not mechanically minded enuff to rebuild it and funds are low.....the pics were taken when i first got her...its not lowered anymore...she back to normal ride height....

Omega General Help / maf and manifold help needed

im doing the 3ltr conversion to my 2.5 with 2.6/3.2 exhaust manifold...the questions i have is are the 2.5 manifold gaskets the same as the 2.6 and will the 2.5 maf work with the 3ltr conversion....do i need to buy another maf as mine was working fine before...cheers
