Has anyone tried fitting the earlier white adjusters to a later projector headlamp?
Do they fit properly and give the correct adjustment range?

They fit ok but i'm yet to find out if they adjust enough :-/
bit iffy as the screw adjuster on projectors is about 10mm longer than old type and the white plastic piece is not held by lugs in housing (i'm not describing this very well :D)

Sorry for the blatant thread hijack ;) - anybody got any tips on adjusting the headlights- like reversing back 10m from a wall and the beam should drop 1% etc???
cheers :y

Drive up to a wall so the bumper is pretty much touching it.
Place a coupld of pieces of tape on the wall where the light pattern starts to kick up (normaly a bright spot here).
Reverse back 4m ish and then adjust so the beams are in line with the tape markers but about 5-10mm lower than them.
Job done, works every time and passes the MOT.

thanks Mark :y - what about horizontal adjusment coz these headlights have been apart and the adjusters are well out (i think :-/)

As said, adjust to point at the tape (it only needs to be about an inch long on the bright spot)......and to do this may require horizontal and vertical adjustment.....just set the vertical slightly below the tape :y

sorry Mark I've re-read you original post and it all makes sense now :-[
LH kick up will indicate horizontal position and will move away from datum mark as i reverse :y
