Just had my renewal in from Direct Line for the MV6 - £303

Ran it through confused.com, and can only get within a fiver of that, so looks like an auto rollover.

Can't believe it, but contemplating getting sky.

Been offered (from a neighbour with sky)
Free installation and a sky plus box, so just need to pay the monthly rate for the package we choose (£19-£21 depening what we go for)

Does this sound like a good deal?

Well, got the snip yesterday.

All went very smoothly

Arrived on time, got called though, quick chat and offered diazapan for nerves  :y which I obviously took em up on.
Sat in a little room for 20 mins while they kicked in, I was nearly falling asleep!
Previous bloke walks out looking like a cowboy who has lost his horse, I dont care cos of the drugs!
Go in, lie down, hurt a bit when they injected the anaesthetic.
and off they went, barely felt a thing, until the cauterising electric shock machine, they just gave me another quick jab and happy days again.
All in all, suprisingly not a bad experience  :o
Shortly after, I got the 'been hit in the plums' type feeling, some ibuprofen and paracetamol saw that off.
Went home and lay down for a few hours.
This morning, a bit of pain when I move, and some very unusual colours to look down on!
Sitting / walking not to comfy, but feet up is ok.

Got a few days off work, then work from home the rest of the week  :y
Hard bit is not being able to pick the kids up etc.

Hampshire police thought it would be a good idea to advertise on the rear of a bus. Their planning did not take into account the position of the exhaust pipe.

General Discussion Area / Window Cleaner
« on: 02 November 2007, 08:31:08 »
A window cleaner is cleaning the local vicarage windows.
Whilst doing the upstairs he sees the vicar pleasuring himself with an adult publication. When he's finished he knocks on the vicarage door for payment & asks for £200. "That seems very steep" said the vicar, "I saw you upstairs" says the window cleaner. So the vicar pays the £200.
That afternoon a local lady parishoner is putting flowers in the church & comments to the vicar on how clean his windows are & asked who cleaned them. "a local man from the village" says the vicar. "was he expensive?" asks the lady. Unable to lie the vicar replies "£200"
"£200?" the lady replies, "He must have seen you coming"!!!

 ;D ;D ;D

Had some time, so got my hands dirty

Some of you know how new this is to me, trusted a mechanic friend until recently do keep our cars right, now trying to learn myself, all thanks to this place.

All on the 2.2, so nice and roomy...
Oil change ( I know, so what, but it was my 1st one !)
made a bit of a mess but I got there!

Coolant flush and header tank replace, old blue coolant gone, flushed with water, red coolant, then filled with red, looks nicer, and seems to run a few degrees cooler as well!

Tomorrow I'm going to do the Spark Plugs.

Like I say, this will sound like nothing to most of you, but is an achievement to me!
