I'm removing the plenum to clean up things as per one of the great guides on here.
There are four pipes at the rear of the plenum which need removing & they have a type of clip I am not familiar with. Fearful of breaking them, how are they removed / undone?

Gently lift the end with a small screwdriver.
If you do damage the clamp(they're reusable if you're careful) then you can replace them with just about any clamp you favour - mine got cable ties as they're only vacuum hoses ;D

Thanks...I will give it another go then - I have cable ties should they be needed.

Assuming that the pipes are still a snug fit you can leave the clips off with no ill effects.
The pipes are all under a partial vacuum and get pulled on (rather than blown off) the spigots.

Aah, thanks I didn't know that. One of the pipes didn't have a clip anyway but seemed to be well fitted without it.
I'm a bit of a novice but am always willing to give things a try & they normally work out OK in the end :)

Its rare to see them still fitted. Most Omegas seem to lose them quite early in life.

On my 3 X 2.5 V6 cars, they've never had any clips fitted ::)

I, too, cable tie vac hoses out of habit ;D

A small set of pincers (woodworking variety, not long nosed pliers) and a small thin screwdriver aid their removal, and more so the refitting of the original clips. Done it several times this way with mine.

Yes. Got one. Access is a bit cramped though.
