my new 1994 2.5td estate elite auto

hey. thought id pop allong as ive just got myself a bargain and thanks to this site fixed it for very litlle cost! the auto box had failed so out it came and ive stuck a (ar25?) 2.5 v6 one in for the time being till i get a 3.0 v6 one took 1.5 days all in. mine has done 152000 but looks like its only done 52k! only paid £450 and the box was a freebee. spent 60 quid on atf and sevice items from hallfrauds with trade discount so ive got a 30grand car for just over 500 qiud!

Welcome Andi :)

Did the AR25 come off a 2.0, 2.5 or 2.5TD - if its off 2.0 or 2.5 petrol, the torque of the diesel may rip it to bits quite quickly, so don't forget about it until you've found a better box  :)

well im thinking it was a 2.5 as it was a v6 but its not the ar35 box.... hope it lasts till i get a 3ltr one. anyone got one for sale or swapsies????
