The message on the display is what I have also taken it from, but you will need to make sure that it is the original stereo to the vehicle as a BOSE stereo will run a non-BOSE system, but not vice-versa.

Checking the rear shelf for speakers is the quick way to tell.
 ;)
As Dave says, quick, simple & definitive :)

As dave says, look in the boot.  On the left hand side of the boot, there is a vertical panel about the size of an A4 sheet of paper. Turn the 2 knobs a quauter turn and the panel will open and drop down...

If you see a speaker mounted in a black plastic casing, you've got a Bose system.
If you see a handy cubby hole for storing crap, you don't have Bose.

Sorry for the slow response - the car is parked up the road because it won't fit on the drive (please don't!!) so Im back & forth.
I cannot find anything that suggests a Bose system is fitted & I therefore now think it is not.
Jimbob: Thank you, that is kind of you.The registration no now is .
Albs: Thank you also. I don't wish to put anyone to any trouble but if you are passing, I am in Halstead Essex.

twiglet: Sorry, I have just spotted your message. Yes, I have looked in the cargo/boot area & cannot see a speaker in a black plastic casing so I think it is unlikely that the car is fitted with the Bose system. (Jimbob is somehow checking records to establish the original spec of the car) Ho hum! It's a little disappointing that there is no Bose sound but its not the end of the world & after all this is resolved I will be happy to simply have something to play CD's on.

Jimbob - thanks very much, thats brilliant & very useful for the future. I'm a bit disappointed that there is no Bose fitted but it's not the end of the world. At least I know for sure now. Thanks again.
