QuotePlease post your warmest , heartfilled congrats here to the mighty tunnie when the littlle scamp makes it
Who's tunnie?
Looks like my jack. And stand. And that looks like my driveway used to, before Project TB1 decided to dump a shit load of coolant, dropping the oiling grime of the engine with it
QuoteGreat How to Tunnie [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
Tho i reckon its still worth the 20squid I pay to have it done at my local garage
Its great value for entertainment
The boss usually sends the apprentice to do the oil change
Car goes on the ramps.....nice hot engine so apprentice usually burns himself with the hot oil
Even better entertainment if i take one of my veccys.....coz the oil filter is situated right next the exhaust down pipe from the manifold......first he burns himself with the hot oil then burns himself again trying to get the oil filter off
B****y sadist......
I can move it somewhere - ie Test section - let you modify, then move back. That way you wont need Admin
Neither need removal tool unless it is too rather tight!
4 pot is so easy to get at though, if it is tight, you can normally still get off by hand. V6 is a little more of a reach, and therefore less easy if on tight...
Only differences are sump bolt is on very bottom of sump on v6, and filter is near rear of passenger side of block (next to crank sensor) - need to ideally remove front wheel for decent access.
Another top guide Tunnie, well done.
Any chance of getting your camera under a real engine and including the v6 pics for completeness, and explaining why the V6 needs a filter removal tool.
Cheers
Merv
QuoteCan you add the type of oil needed? What? An oil thread in LB66's absence
Tunnie - I've modified your guide, putting in torx bit size, bit about older ones with copper washer, and filter only should be hand tight
