Many garages won't use customer supplied parts...
Because they get a discount ,60 days to pay for parts and charge customer list price
I don't trust garages , do the work my-self ,with parts i supply and give myself the standard 10 second warranty  ;D
Agreed with all the above, but own parts can complicate the warranty process and it gives them the excuse to charge twice the labour if it fails...

The roll pins can be a right bugger to get out, careful what you lever against if doing it yourself !

Right. All systems go!

Thanks to Dave for the Dexron III and sealant links – both ordered.
Thanks to Steve B for the solenoid link. Ordered! £38.98 + around a tenner delivery.
Much appreciated, guys!! :y :y

Filter already ordered and on its way (from Germany).

Any tips for changing the solenoid? It's the only thing that's making me nervous. :-X

Im sure there has been a thread with pics (Jamesv6cdx ??) in the dim & distant past. Might be worth a bit of searching.  :y
