Thats fine guys, glad for all the input.
Doubt i can see any part numbers, so can only go on by 3.2 then. Literally looked on fleabay 2.5/2.6 ones are priced from £30-50. Theres only 1 for a 3.2 and that more than triple the price at £175.

Entwood had one off me the other month did he use that ? If not I may have another

Had a look at the unit and grabbed these numbers from it? 09 156 806/0265 220 455
So would these numbers be the same on the ecu stuck on the side (black bit), or would it be completely different?

I think you have what you need 
I think you will only find one more set of letters on the top  like DX or WX or something like that

Had a look at the unit and grabbed these numbers from it? 09 156 806/0265 220 455
So would these numbers be the same on the ecu stuck on the side (black bit), or would it be completely different?

These are the numbers on mine      barcode label says Bosch & below that these numbers 288536     0    273 004 599

On the flat surface next to where the small plug goes in, moulded into the black plastic  is 572 / 2 /1195677

Also  on the front in the black plastic is PBT-GF -30     There is also a yellow sticker label that says WQ

If you want this urgently  . . . I am working in Dagenham tomorrow from 7-30am  until lunchtime . you could come & collect from me  .    Price ?      £35    Let me know ASAP

I dont mind, could collect from you. Only thing thats crossing my mind is how important is it for the part numbers to match? Or is it more important that it comes off from the same spec/engine vehicle which matters more. If someone can advise on this can go from there Al.
