I recently aquired DBGs (Rob) old 2.5TD CDX saloon a couple of weeks ago and its sat outside looking sorry for itself due to my work and race team responsibilities, so with the weather looking good I got stuck in with some TLC
We fitted new front wishbones on Robs driveway before bringing the car home from Cleethorpes back to Kent as the current ones were on their last legs, car was cleaned out, battery charged, levels checked and we headed home... Car never missed a beat and on occasions caught me out as i was in my Estate! All in all I'm very happy with my new purchase!
So yesterday we changed the oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, drained the coolant and refilled with new pinky pinkness, fitted a replacement diesel lift pump in the tank, removed the rear back box as it was hanging off (doesn't make a blind bit of difference to the exhaust noise!), fitted a new brake pad wear sensor, fitted a spare Irmscher front grill I had in the shed! New front pads will also soon be fitted along with a new header tank, HBV and coolant pipe that goes from the header tank to the HBV, replacement wing mirrors are on route as the N/S on is broken and held on with gaffer tape lol as is another replacement exhaust back box.
Also on route is an EGR delete kit, the Cat will soon be gone and a re-map will be on the cards.... Then an AR35!
