Bought my 2003 3.2 Elite Estate in April 2007, still my daily driver, just got through another MOT (with a bit of work) but trying any failing at some point to find a replacement, there's just nothing to compare..

An interesting series well filmed and presented. An awful amount of work to fit the 4 wheel drive system into a Mini, whilst I realise they were trying to keep the originality of the Mini body I'm sure it would be a lot easier to cut out the floor pan of the donor car shorten it and fix the mini body over the top.

Ive had one of them with a missing telematics, did work, but this one kept bleeping and displaying Safe Mode at me when it was used only in CD or Nav operation, other than that was fine.

Is there a fix for this, mine does the same...

This will be a job for Monday, as I'm ringing twice tomorrow with a visit to the Kent Classic Car Show at Aylesford in between. The plan is to have some beers and a curry if we get the quarter peal of Steadman triples in the afternoon. Or if we don't ;D

I'll be at Aylesford with my Porsche 928, stop and say hello if you see me...

General Car Chat / Re: I have just insured my new car.

Saga have agreed to 'mirror' my NCD.

I now have 70% NCD on both the MV6 and my dreary old Signum.

My  NCD is also protected.

For some reason the Signum costs more to insure  ??? ???

£130 for the Omega .......£171 for the Signum.

Still, I suppose £300 to insure two relatively large capacity cars is not too shabby.

I have 3 cars insured with Saga and they have done the same, one NCD across all 3  :)
