Apparently the Government will appeal in the Supreme Court next week.  ::)

Maybe whoever loses Round 2 can appeal to the ECJ?  :D

There would be a certain irony to be enjoyed from that, regardless of which side of the fence you lie...  :D

Yes, and that will be another week gone, then whatever the result of that all kinds of legal challenges will be made by the government, which will keep Parliament closed until 14th October, when they go back anyway!!

The lawyers must be clapping their hands with joy and celebrating that Christmas has come early ::) ::) :D :D ;)

I've read that the appeal in the Supreme Court is very likely to succeed next week as it will be heard under English law, rather than Scottish law and the difference between the two legal systems will mean that the original case won't stand a chance.....  Apparently.  :-\

I can feel the outrage already from the ScotNats if the appeal succeeds, along the lines of English courts over ruling Scottish courts, which was likely part of Joanna Cherry's gameplan all along.  ::)

yes after 3 and a bit years we have successfully pissed off everyone who might be affected by whatever Brexit ends up being.

What a result, what could we have acheived with a little effort?

I don't know where this idea of England and Scotland being equal partners in the UK has come from?  ???  Well I do....  The SNP obviously, to feed the sense of grievance with their supporters.  ::)

I've also seen Joanna Cherry claim that indy Scotland would be an equal partner in the EU.  ::)  Poor deluded woman!  ;D
