Alarm Query
« on: 02 August 2006, 14:42:44 »

I saw the post by Wigan Pier regarding alarms, and I have a query.  I know the alarm works on my '94 2.5 CDX i've tested it by lifting the bonnet as well as activating the internal sensors. My query is, when I set the system using the i/r remote to lock doors etc, the internal tell tale light comes on and then blinks, but there is no external indicator flashing or any audible sounds at all, is this correct for the early models?

On the 2.2, 2.6 and 3.2 one press locks the doors and arms the alarm, a second press deadlocks the doors.

Can't speak for models prior.

My pre-facelift 2.5 is the same.. Buttons on the key itself rather than a seperate remote. 1 press locks the doors and sets the alarm (Indicators flash once), second press activates the deadlocks (indicators flash once)
